Money has a funny way of sneaking away from you no matter how diligent or on top of it you may be. I once read an article that had a quote that said for every one dollar you make their are ten waiting to take it. This month my husband, God bless him, worked a lot of overtime so we had some extra money come in to the budget. I diligently saved some of it, but not all of it. It seems to us that when we know were getting extra cash we decide to spend it. It's never truly on anything frivolous but did we really need to go out to eat at Papa John's when I know how to make a great pizza at home? ..... The answer is NO we did not but we did anyways or did we need to buy any of the things that we bought, not really at least not right at this moment.
Overall we did good on our budget we stayed within what we made which is great and we saved some money for Bella's 1st b-day party in February and some extra for a cute Dept 56 display for this Halloween but we went over in Store bought food and out food which is not good for our waist lines and our bottom line. So here's to a better month where we learn to put everything extra God blesses us with into savings or tithing.
